We placed an offer on a short-sale investment property and the seller accepted - IN JANUARY!. Finally came together today after a Herculean effort on the part of a lot of people at the 11 and 3/4 hour. Although it as been in "progress" for over 5 months... the second mortgage lender put a stipulation that it had to be finalized by 8 am Monday (of course no one works on the weekend) or the whole deal was off...we had a deposit and and funded several inspections...so we were "invested" in this transaction.

We had to meet the escrow guy at a nearby Starbucks right after I was rushing out of the hospital with EKG tape still stuck to my chest and leg...yesterday to keep it alive...
Got the keys at 5:10 p today...no minutes to spare. We are thankful for everyone's great effort.
