Recent days have seen me up very early. I awake at 3am and I am wide awake, so I just get up. I have been averaging about three hours sleep each night for the past week. It is sometimes said, as you age you don't need as much sleep
Last night I brought my zero gravity chair upstairs and put it next to the open window and turned on the whole house fan. Got an extra hour. Got up at 4:30a instead of 3:30a.
I have a tendency to go to bed around midnight or 1 am anyway. I do take naps here and there, but not necessarily every day. I have been taking new meds, so perhaps my body hasn't kicked in with accepting them yet.
It is probably like the kid that can't sleep on Christmas eve or the night before the trip to Disneyland...my big Retirement day is twelve days away - maybe I can finally get some sleep then...ha.
