Working in the dirt, spreading chicken and steer manure (family rated blog) in the hot sun...gives one some 'alone time'. Not many takers to hang out with you.
There is an inate sense of satisfaction that results when tender loving care, water, dirt and sun produces someting edible for your plate. 
Retirement looming...more time in the garden. A practice day this weekend...Got the automatic watering system set up for the gardem to cover the time gone on vacation.Life is good.
