I AM GRATEFUL FOR DECIDING TO BE GRATEFUL.
"Everything in life is a choice. You make your own decisions. No one
can take that away from you.
Where you are is in direct relationship to the decisions you have
made in the past. If you are not happy with where you are (i.e.,
you feel you 'messed it up') simply make new decisions to change
your situation.
In some cases you can turn around completely and it can be done
immediately! In other situations, it will take some time to make a
difference. Each day you can do something to get to where you want
to be.
For example, if you want to feel more gratitude, try to think about
it first thing in the morning for a week or so. After that week,
try to think about gratitude in the morning AND in the evening.
After the next week, feel grateful in the morning, the evening AND
at lunch time. Slowly you are planting the necessary seeds to
become the change you want.
You are responsible for the position you are in. No one else is." Paul Taubman
"You are responsible for the position you are in, so don't mess it
up!" - Unknown
Grateful people are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives. Grateful people also have higher levels of control of their environments, personal growth, purpose in life, and self acceptance. Grateful people have more positive ways of coping with the difficulties they experience in life. The longest lasting effects are caused by the act of writing “gratitude journals” every day, coupled with reviewing what you are grateful for, at the beginning of each day.
