She has been plagued by back pain and multiple operations and an increasing dose of pain killers. Now this. We both talk for a living. I fear she may not recover to that state anytime soon.
People that know my health history and the multiple issues I have with most of my body parts falling apart (except for my feet...my feet are good) and who often feel sorry for me regarding all these things that have happened to me in the past few years, chuckle when I say, "When you have your health, you have everything."
Diamonds on every finger, a new Thunderbird convertible and the six-figure income doesn't mean much when you can't move and you can't speak enough to even say "Damn!"
Today, I worked on an investment house we just got (like I was going to live forever)...cutting down small trees, trimming bushes, patching holes and painting inside, like I was in my twenties again...and felt good. I am a truly blessed.
I count my blessing every day....I lost track some time back when I got into the thousands.
