GRATITUDE - July 17, 2012

I AM GRATEFUL FOR BEING ABLE TO WEAR THE MINORITY PORTION OF MY WARDROBE.

100 silk ties (mostly Jerry Garcia/Italian)

50 dress shirts

25 dress slacks

15 pair of dress shoes

10 suits

This was my go-to stable of clothes for the last many, many years BR (before retirement).

Australian thongs
I now spend my time working in my yard wearing old shorts, tee shirts and sandals.  After I get back inside, I switch to newer shorts, Hawaiian shirt and nicer sandals.

My tie rack is weeping.

My new job (personal assistant to Bob) has a significantly different dress code.

Note:  Common word definitions change over the years.  I was telling my wife at dinner the other night that I spent the day wearing 'thongs (which I understand now is commonly referred to as flip-flops/sandals...but they were 'thongs' back in my youth) whereupon my teen daughter spewed milk out of her nose and almost fell out of her chair.

It is now my understanding that the word 'thong' has an entirely different definition for the current generation.

Flip-Flops/Sandals it is....gratitude is still the same.
