This is my (hopefully) tongue-in-cheek holdiay greeting just in case we really do have only 9 days left (according to the Mayan Calendar).
Since the North Koreans are making everybody nervous of late with long range missles ... unfortunately, all things are possible.
I admire the way the world is taking the news about this end-of-time catastrophic event, as it apparently does not deter the capatilists and tour operators of the world (that is a complement) to be the person that makes the last dollar on earth. Our flight leaves in the morning....
Believers of the Mayan calendar prediction that the world
will end on December 21 have flooded into a small village in western Turkey,
near the ancient Greek city of Ephesus.
Some New Age spiritualists are convinced of a December 21
"doomsday" foretold by Mayan hieroglyphs -- at least according to
some interpretations.
London - 1976 |
Sirince, a village of around 600 inhabitants, has a positive
energy according to the doomsday cultists, who say that it is close to an area
where Christians believe the Virgin Mary ascended to heaven.
The Mayan prophecy has sparked a tourism boom in the
village, which is now expected to host more than 60,000 visitors according to
local media.
HAPPY HOLIDAY! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL ON THE 22ND.
Note: I am encouraged by surviving more than one End-Of-Time prediction.
