GRATITUDE - January 9, 2012

I AM GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED.

Think about it.  We should, of course be thankful for what we have vs. what we don't have.  That said, there is so much that could have happened to us or given us that would not make us better off....but wait, is that always true?

Who would be disappointed for not receiving the gift of Cancer?  In grateful retrospect, my unasked for turn in those circumstances has made me a better person and certainly one that is more appreciative of what I have.  As we look around the world and see the circumstances given to others, we surely must be grateful we weren't on that list.

Grateful I came into this world in 1940's Oklahoma.  Could have been under far different circumstances.
